Questions
I’ve never ridden. Can I come?
Of course. The First Ride and Forest Walk are designed for complete beginners, with a guide beside you and our calmest horses.
How far ahead should I book?
At least 3–5 days ahead; weekends and holidays fill up fast. For the horseback camp and custom trips, get in touch a week or more ahead.
What should I wear?
Comfortable long trousers and non-slip trainers or boots — no flip-flops, sandals or heels. We provide helmets free, or bring your own certified one.
What if the weather turns?
In heavy rain or high wind we’ll contact you in advance to reschedule or refund in full. Light rain doesn’t stop us — riding through the woods in the rain is something special.
Can I bring food and water?
Yes. We also provide drinking water and snacks for every guest.
Can I choose my horse?
Pick your favourite in the form and we’ll do our best. Your guide confirms on the day, based on your riding and how the horse is feeling.
Will the altitude affect me?
Xiaozhongdian is over 3,000 metres up and everyone reacts differently. Go slowly on your first day, drink water, go easy on alcohol, and tell us if you feel unwell.
